The city from a stranger's perspective

Hi people! First of all I want to thank each and everyone of you for the amazing support I received last week. I'm profoundly astonished and feel really grateful for the love and energy coming from you in social networks and in the Blog; that's something that will keep me going and makes me look forward to the great things that we can do together.

So on my last post, I explained briefly what this Blog is about and gave a small introduction. Today I want to write a little bit more about style and fashion. I think that style and fashion are two different concepts and should not be used interchangeably. To me, style is your personal statement, your voice towards the people that surround you and it's a way of communicating something. We communicate our emotions, our thoughts, and our points of view via style. On the other hand, fashion is what's currently trending in any aspect both in the consumer and the artistic or editorial world. It's not stale; it continuously changes, specially in clothing and accessories. Some entries in my Blog are going to talk about fashion, because I do love reading fashion magazines (my favorites are Details and GQ) and learning what's hot for the new season. Some others are going to focus on style, where I will usually share my point of view rather than what's in and what's not.

Today's post is about style. I believe that everyone has style in his or her own way, and style should be appreciated and understood. We don't know the motives behind how a person decides to look on a particular day, but we do get a feeling from the appearance of everyone. I did a little experiment this weekend and I went to different parts of my beloved Seattle to ask strangers to take random pictures of me. My only instructions were that 1) I had to be in the picture, and 2) they must keep shooting even if I'm not looking at the camera.

I'm amazed by the result, which is a very varied perspective of the city. In some shots, you can really tell it's Seattle because of some iconic landmarks and locations. Some others are really nice pictures of not-so-known locations of the Emerald City. I was superbly pleased and I feel the pics came out great. These just made me fall even more madly in love with this amazing city. What do you feel when you look at these? Leave your comments below and keep sharing the love. Till next time!

  2. Hi, I love the pictures, and Seattle is also my kind of town. This outfit reminded me of my brother, he wears these type of shorts a lot during the summer.
