Rooftop and Blue Skies

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been a month already since I started this blog. It's crazy how quickly time flies by, and I'm just glad that with your encouragement I've been able to continue with this project. I'm so grateful for your support and it means the world to me, thank you once again. So with a flip of a page October is here, and mostly people would say  "it's cold, it's rainy, it's cloudy". Well, not at all! This weekend the temps went up all the way to 70 degrees in Seattle and we had really nice, blue skies. It's great when we still get these last few glimpses of summer in the Pacific Northwest, and something that I like a lot is the clear view you can get from the city if you go up to a rooftop.

When I moved to my apartment that was one of the things that first got me, and it's still one of my favorite things about it. Being located in the heart of Capitol Hill, we get beautiful sightings of downtown Seattle, and there's no other building around to block the amazing view. Actually, my building is not even that high, it's just six stories high. However, it's favored by a great location since the complex sits on top of a hill. Given that the Emerald City has a very hilly landscape, you get to see the skyline from the skyscrapers rising tall downtown, a sight of Lake Washington and Lake Union both east and west of The Hill, respectively, and you can even see Mount Rainier in the distance.

On this cloudless day, I decided to rock this beautiful printed shirt that I found in Club Monaco on my last trip to NYC. Really guys, Club Monaco is the real deal when it comes to shirts and casual wear, and its one of my favorite shops. You'll definitely see more pieces coming from there very soon, so keep posted here for more about this awesome boutique. Also, I love NYC and I can never come back from the Big Apple without buying a ton of clothes.

I liked this shirt in particular because of how colorful it is. It contrasts really well with the clear blue skies we had that day, and I think it could go well with any plain-colored pants, like in this case these light brown chinos. What's your take on it? Yay or nay? Share some comments below and keep following on social media and on Instagram. I'd love to hear what you have to say about the combination. So that's it! One month of blogging is gone, hopefully with many, many more to come. Have a wonderful week, and see you next time!
